Mark Joyce visits the club Thanks to Richard Hampton, Mark Joyce the snooker professional at present with a World Ranking of 50 which is 5 behind Steve Davis and 1 ahead of Jimmy White visited us last Thursday 26th January and duly demonstrated his skill on the baize in front of an audience of 28. Making good breaks including one of 100 he scored too heavily for most of our players. However the highlight of the evening was the game Mark played against our own very experienced player Nigel Crawford, who won to everybody’s delight. An excellent buffet provided by Kari added to this very successful event. 2011 Sony Rose Cup This was won by Nigel Crawford for the highest break of 134. The committee gave their congratulations for this magnificent performance. Stratford and District Snooker League John Caithness reports that the snooker section is currently in 2nd place in division 2 of the Stratford and District Snooker League. The top two teams will be promoted to division 1. Division Knock-Out Cup The committee gave their congratulations to John Caithness and his team for winning the Division knock-out cup.
Unfortunately the team were knocked out of the League Cup but now go into the Minor League Cup.
