Welcome to Stratford-upon-Avon Sports Club Snooker Section

The snooker section opened in the summer of 1999 following a successful transistion from Stratford Upon Avon Union Club.

The club is situated in idyllic surrounding close to the River Avon opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and just a short walk from the town centre. The aim of the Section is to promote good fellowship and social intercourse for the benefit of members and to provide facilities for playing snooker and billiards.

Members enjoy a warm welcome together with superb facilities that include 4 Riley Aristocrat snooker tables which were installed at the beginning of 2008 and are superbly maintained by our own cleaner.  Each table is fully equipped with it's own set of accessories to enjoy the game.

There is also a viewing lounge where players can relax over a drink whilst waiting for a table.

We have junior, student and senior membership and our application system ensures we maintain our high standards. Our strict dress code rule must be respected at all times by both members and their guests.

For members who wish to be a little more competitive they are invited to enter our various competitions.

Members have access from 8am until 11pm daily

Dress Code / Mobile Phones

Yet again we have to ask ALL members AND their guests to observe the following rules at ALL times –

SMART CASUAL WEAR - NO JEANS, TRAINERS, T – SHIRTS
MOBILE PHONES SHOULD ONLY BE USED IN EMERGENCIES (NO TEXTING)

Access Cards

Our snooker lounge door must be locked at all times

 On occasions some members have advised they have not been able to access the room and we have learnt from the security data that this is either because they are not holding their card still in front of the reader, or the entry door (which has a built in time delay on entry) has been left open which affects the system.
